Frances made her professional debut in 1986 with her family's group (Mary and three brothers), recording two albums with them before joining the famed traditional group Arcady. But it was her two 1993 contributions to the million-selling compilation WOMAN'S HEART (now combined with Vol 2 on double CD, TORCD2K6) that brought her to wide attention and led to her award-winning solo career.
