1999. 2017. A circle closes. The Mogwai classic "Come On Die Young" was created in collaboration with the producer Dave Fridmann. Now - almost two decades later - Mogwai have decided to renew this wonderful collaboration. They traveled to Cassadaga, New York, to record the successor to their 2014 album "Rave Tapes" with the help of Fridmann. Mogwai's music has always been one of the desired contrasts. Intense walls of sound, towering meters high, then rapt moments, full of polished dedication to the composition. With the second track "Party In The Dark" Mogwai brought in a real surprise. They call the title "head-spinning disco dream", echoes from New Order echo. The last three pieces, on the other hand - "Battered At A Scramble", "Old Poisons" and "Every Countrys Sun" - are enhanced to a sonic exorcism, which discharges itself fantastically in the colossus of a title piece.
